A first for Newport
The MS Prinsendam, a 200 metre long ship, carrying 800 passengers visited Newport yesterday as Cardiff was too small to allow it to dock! Good news for Newport. We watched this incredible sight from the lantern room. Frank lit some fireworks, his way of saying thank you! This, we believe, is a trial run for the Ryder Cup next year. More americans are coming over to play golf at the Celtic Manor or Peterstone which is a couple of miles from where we are. We are surrounded by over 15 golf courses! Any golf enthusiast would not be disappointed. The Monmouth Golf Club has sent us some vouchers to give to our guests. Any takers?
